About Your Doctor
Dr. Michelle Kapon began her residency for Family Medicine in 2007 with Western Reserve Care System right here in Youngstown, OH. She enjoys the specialty of Family Medicine because of the age spectrum it incorporates. She loves seeing patients from the time they are born throughout their lives, as well as their parents, siblings, and other family members.
Throughout her career, Dr. Kapon has maintained her Board Certification. She has also served as a hospital committee board member and an instructor in both residency and continuing medical education programs.
Dr. Kapon is looking forward to establishing meaningful patient-doctor relationships and is excited to be serving here as your direct primary care family physician. She takes her work seriously and believes practicing medicine is a privilege and a calling. Under her care, you can expect thoroughness in care for you and all your loved ones.
Outside of the office, Dr. Kapon spends most of her time with her son, dogs, family, and friends. Being a single parent, a large majority of her spare time is spent being a mom to her 7-year-old and shuffling her son to various after-school activities including tae kwon do and ice hockey.
Dr. Kapon is also a certified SCUBA diving instructor and enjoys diving in the Caribbean whenever possible. She is an avid chef, motorcyclist, gardener, and salt-water fish tank enthusiast.
